so sánh hơn có 2 trường hợp

1. tính từ/adv ngắn: ngắn là phát âm một âm tiết

   đổi -y thành -i và thêm -er vào đuôi.

2. tính từ/adv dài: phát âm 2 âm tiết trở lên thêm more/less ở phía trước adj/adv thêm than vào sau adj/adv

so sánh nhất cũng có 2 trường hợp:

- thêm est vào đuôi - thêm the vào phía trước adj/adv adj : Biz Motors is the largest car dealer in town adv:

adj/adv dài:

- thêm most vào trước - thêm the vào phía trước adj/adv, trước most adj : This is the most difficult task i have ever faced adv: I think john works the most efficiently
